Angelo Divino has been drawing ever since his hands could hold a pencil. His startling artistic ability won him a full scholarship to MICA, the college of his dreams in his hometown of Baltimore, Md. When a class trip introduced him to the city that never sleeps, he knew that nothing would stop him from making this his new home. He abandoned his scholarship to attend New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. Angelo graduated from F.I.T. Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian of his class, also receiving the Excellence in Illustration Award. With the ink barely dry on his diploma, his inimitable fashion drawing style quickly drew assignments from L’OrealRedkenRevillon FursHelgaThe California MartVogue Magazine and Fairchild Publications. While in Los Angeles, his distinctive celebrity caricature images were featured on KABC’s 11:00 news, and were soon hanging at Rodeo Drive’s Dyansen Gallery. Later, his unique caricature style graced the CD cover of A Tenors Christmas, an anthology of The Three Tenors’ greatest Christmas recordings. Since his return to Los Angeles in 2002, Angelo has been working as a decorative painter, in some of the world’s finest homes. His recent celebrity images incorporate the loose quality of his early high fashion images.
